Andy is a "Certified Coach" and holds the "Certificate 4 in Workplace Training and Assessment". He is an accredited provider of "Team management Systems" personal development assessments and feedback instruments.

Through membership to the"Graduate School Of Coaching"and the "School of Small Business Coaching" Andy is committed to lifelong learning and improvement and is a founding member of the"International Association Of Coaches".

The following "warts and all" snippets from his history are here to demonstrate the broad canvas of experience. There is much more to Andy than this, yet this shows what a diverse and broad package you get with Andy and the "Get More Clients" program..

He started his entrepreneur apprenticeship at the age of 18 when he commenced selling insurance for the Australian Mutual Provident Society. This company was the largest insurance company in Australia. Andy at the time became the youngest ever commission salesperson to work for the A.M.P. and as his career grew, he moved into a brokerage business and won performance-related prizes which included trips to America, Tahiti and Asia. This period provided the environment from which his knowledge, understanding and, in fact, love of the psychology of the sales process was started.

Andy started the first “Float To Relax” operation in Australia at Glenelg in South Australia. This studio held four sensory isolation water tanks, which offered amazing healing, relaxation and learning potential. Today these tanks are common place and widely used as a meditation and relaxation tool.

He was also one of the first to own and operate pay for use “Internet Kiosks” in Australia. These were placed around tourist locations in far northern South Australia.

These businesses showed Andy how to plan, develop and turn new ideas and opportunities into reality, to not only research a market but how to create one.

Andy’s love of scuba diving saw him venture into an undersea enterprise in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales. While on an around Australia working holiday, the almost bankrupt Solitary Island Diver Service beckoned as a great opportunity. Andy pursued and acquired the necessary Dive Instructor and Coxswain certificates needed to effectively manage such a business and bought it. With his wife, he turned that business into a very tidy profit two years later and created a healthy income along the way. In 1990 the business was given the “Special Recognition Award” for services to the Coffs Harbour Tourism Industry at its annual Sunny Awards for Tourism Excellence.

Initiative, drive, discipline, management, accounting, marketing, selling and people skills were essential to this accomplishment.

While in Broome, Western Australia Andy recognised the coming of mobile phones to the region was imminent. He set up and started a mobile phone sales business six months before the first transmission tower was built. This ensured deep market penetration by the time the phones actually worked. At the time of leaving Broome, the operation was still the largest phone provider in Broome.

Recognising a niche market in his travels, Andy then in 1994 decided to settle down and opened a Surf Shop in Port Augusta, South Australia. Port Augusta lies 300 kilometres from the nearest surf. This has not hampered the success of this business and in fact it has grown every year.

In 1999 Andy once again recognised a business opportunity and opened “Cycleworx Port Augusta” to fill a niche in the cycling market.

His business acumen was publicly recognised when in 2001 his surf shop "Saltbush Surf and Leisure" won the title of “Most Outstanding Business” for the Retail Sector.

However in 2002 "Saltbush Surf and Leisure" won the title of “Most Outstanding Business” for not only the retail sector but also “Most Outstanding Business” for the whole city. This rated them as the most outstanding business out of all sectors accounting for over 438 businesses in the city.

Both Saltbush Surf and Leisure and Cycleworx Port Augusta are owned by Andy today and are operated under family management.

Andy’s career has far more depth than this. However these small excerpts clearly demonstrate the business acumen accumulated over the years.

Andy believes not only is “business knowledge” important but a community spirit shows and develops personal character.

In 1999 Andy received the “Australia Day Citizen Of The Year” award for the city of Port Augusta, population around 14,000. This is the highest local honour an Australian city can give its residents.

Andy received that award for his service to the community, which included chairing the local “Tourist Association” and the “Chamber of Commerce”, and for creating and organising major community events for the city, namely the “Seagrims Outback Surfboat Carnival” which regularly draws around 3,000 people to the event and continues to run today.

He also organised the South Australian State Rally of the “Harley Owners Group” which drew 360 bikers from all over Australia to the city for three full days of events and entertainment which provided enormous economic spin-offs for many businesses.

Andy believes strongly about lifestyle balance and today lives just metres from the sea, and his office overlooks Spencers Gulf, the Flinders Ranges and the regular pods of dolphins feeding and frolicking out front.

He recently wrote an e-book "The Blue Overalls Guide To Meditation". A guide devoted to bringing the benefits of meditation to the Australian working man. Written in a style that is laid back and easy to understand and relates to the target audience.

Andy is currently writing a book called "How To Turn Your Coaching Business Into An Online Marketing Powerhouse" It will chronicle his journey into online marketing and be full of tips, how to's, what to avoid's and will fast trac any coaches entry into online marketing. When not occasionally travelling the country on his trusty Harley Davidson he operates “Get More Clients” a business which allows him to share his accumulated business, marketing and sales knowledge to fast track others to achieve their business and lifestyle dreams much quicker.
